Popup card

Hi everyone,

A revisit today with our pop up box card template to make a step by step tutorial on how to use our template (which comes with matching envelope!) and create this  fun card!

http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=1947

For this you will need:
Pop up box card and envelope template
Pop up box card and Envelope

Cardstock and your choice of embellishments / stamps  to complete the card

This tutorial is using the pdf template (it also comes with several formats to use on your cutting machine)

Print out the card template pdf

and the envelope template pdf

Cut out card template and card partition and make cuts on the solid black lines

Score the dotted lines to make the folds

Cut out papers to decorate outside of card using the sizes given in the template instruction sheet

Do the same for the inside of the card

Glue the tab and adhere to create the box
( not that only 3 sides fold down, the back of the card stays tall.)

Glue card partition to form an open rectangle

Adhere glue to both small square ends of rectangle

Adhere rectangle partition to inside top center of box

Add your stamps and embellishments as desired to the inside of the box

Test by folding card flat to make sure nothing is sticking out, so that the inside is hidden when closed

Sample card uses one of this months new releases called
Swinging DollySwinging Dolly (colored)

Also used in this project from our store
BugslyBugsly (colored)

Make your stamp stand up by attaching acrylic strips to the card and the back of the stamp / embellishment

Cut out envelope, score fold and glue together using coordinating papers to match your card and you have one very cute card ready to send!

I hope you enjoyed our tutorial and see what fun it is to create with our pop up card and envelope template!

Hostess Monday With Helen

Good morning everyone - it's Helen here with this week's Hostess Monday project.

I've decided to go with a 'Christmas in July' theme for my card - here's what you need to make it:

- "Santa Molly" digi stamp available here (I've used the black and white version and coloured it myself but you can the image pre-coloured here)
- "Christmas Carolers" Digital Paper Pack available here
- "Christmas Hugs" sentiment set available here
- red and white card
- circle dies
- colour medium of your choice
- red Card Candi

And here's what you need to do:

1. Print out the digi stamp on to white card - I printed it about 8cm tall by 6cm wide.  Colour it and then die cut with a circle die - I used one with a 9cm diameter.  Die cut a piece of red card with the next size of circle die up and then mat the white circle on to the red one as shown in the photo below.

 2. To make the base card, cut a piece of red card measuring 28cm by 14 cm.  With the longest side towards you, score the card at 7cm and 14cm as shown in the photo below.  You can then fold the card togeter and fold back half of the front.

 3. Then cut a piece of red card measuring 28cm by 5cm.   With the longest side towards you, score at 14cm and 21cm as shown in the photo below.

4. Print out your choice of paper design from the digital paper pack - I cut three 'pieces' of the paper to make this card.  Cut a piece of the paper measuring 13.5cm by 13.5cm and attach to the inside of the card.  Then cut two pieces measuring 6.5cm by 13.5cm and attach to the card as shown in the photo below.

 5. On the separate strip of card attach a piece of paper measuring13.5cm by 4.5cm and two pieces measuring 6.5cm by 4.5cm as shown in the photo below.

6. When the card stands up, it will now look like this:

7.  Attach the image panel to the front of the card as shown in the photo below (making sure you only put tape or glue across the middle of the circle!).  Print one of the sentiments on to white card and then die cut with a circle die - the one I used measures 5cm in diameter.  Mat this on to a piece of red card die cut with the next circle size up.  Attach to the right side of the card.  Finish the card with some red Card Candi.

And here's a side view of the card:

I hope you've enjoyed my little tutortial!

Enjoy the rest of your week
